
Masters Racing Team
Our FCSCC Masters Racing Team focuses on technical refinement and fitness. This program is an amazing way to meet new people and build the skills required to race successfully!
Goals for the course include
- Reviewing equipment care and handling
- Refining balance
- Refining proper paddling positioning
- Refining boat control
- Refining stroke technique
- Paddling outside of Alder Bay in a sprint boat
- Improved paddling fitness
- Participate in a regattas
Prerequisites
- Must be a full member of FCSCC. Register here for a “Club Member – Adult Flatwater” membership
- Intro to Racing, coach discretion to move up levels
- Capable of paddling ~5KM outside of Alder Bay in a sprint boat without falling in

Things to Bring to Practice
- Paddling shoes/sandals for walking around from the boat shed to the dock
- Paddling clothes appropriate for the weather
- Additional clothes for changing into afterwards
- A towel
- Water bottle

- Your own PFD (or you can borrow one from the club)
Meetup
- Please try and arrive 10 min prior to practice time ready to go in your paddling gear so that we can start right on time.
